Sr. Software QA Automation Tester
In this role, you will test releases of our web-based software application to ensure they are delivered on time with the highest quality. Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting and understanding the systems requirements provided for new and existing applications.
- Creating automated smoke and regression test scripts using QuickTest Professional
- Executing automated smoke and regression test scripts using QuickTest Professional
- Creating automated load test scripts using automated performance testing tools
- Executing automated load test scripts using automated performance testing tools
- Analyzing and reporting results of automated load tests
- Interacting with the engineering staff to understand and resolve application defects
- Documenting test results and defects utilizing Visicu standard procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
- Minimum six years experience in testing including:
- Web-based applications
- Automated testing tools such as QuickTest Pro, LoadRunner, WinRunner, SilkTest, Rational Robot or SilkPerformer
- Functional; Regression; Performance; Load; Disaster Recovery; Smoke
- Experience planning, designing, and implementing keyword/data-driven test automation architectures
- VBScript
- Test Result Analysis and Reporting
- Continuous process improvement
- Experience automating various testing processes (tools, utilities)
- Experience writing SQL queries and analyzing Use Cases
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and with a group
- Skilled in using personal productivity software tools (e.g. MS Word/Excel, VSS, Visio)
